Smart move - by selling off 25% of Alcon the maker of Opti-Express, Nestle who no longer sees Alcon as profitable will use proceeds from the sale to reduce debt and expand its nutritional foods division.
Nestle looked at the long term strategic planning and recognized that Alcon was not a good investment. Using the sales to pay off debt and expand its empire to invest in other products is a wise move. Nestle does not let grass grow under its feet.
Currently, only symbols from the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX exchanges are supported by Yahoo Finance. Pinksheets and Foreign Exchanges - Nestle (NSRGY) are not.
